Education has an immense impact on the human society. It is through education that knowledge and information is received and spread. The quality of human resource of a nation is easily judged by the number of literate population living in it. This may well explain the fact that rich and developed nations of the world have very high literacy rate and productive human resource.
The importance of education cannot be neglected by any nation. And in today’s world, the role of education has become even more vital. It is an absolute necessity for economic and social development of any nation.
Sadly, despite the relatively “low” cost of education in our region, not everyone is able to afford sending their children to school, especially after the 6th grade.
For over ten years, BFL has continued to identify young people from underprivileged homes and given then partial or full scholarships to enable them attend Secondary, High School as well as the University.
Tuitions at university are about $100 a year (because the government subsidizes education), room and board are typically between $600 to about $1,000 a year.
You can change a life, family and a nation enabling a promising young student to be able to attend Secondary, High School or even the university. By so doing, you are contributing to develop future leaders.
