2004 Trip
Dr. Holland is a pediatrician in Kerrville, Texas who also works as a pediatric hospitalist in San Antonio. She brought a group of seven medical and lay members to Daouala, Cameroon in January, 2004. Dr. Jackson Downey joined that team which traveled to Tombel and over a thousand patients were seen by both American and Cameroonian doctors, including Dr. Daniel Shu, a medical radiologist by training and a member of the BFL Board. Thousands of dollars worth of medications were given away and hundreds came to the Lord during the crusades.
2005 Trip
Dr. Jackson Downey brought a team from Jacksonville, Florida of 9 members back to Tombel where the tribal chief exclaimed "Dr. Jackson promised he would be back. And true to his word, he has returned to our village to bring doctors and free medical care to our community." Dr. Downey worked alongside two Cameroonian doctors to deliver care and distribute more than $100,000 worth of medication. Five hundred people came to the Lord and an AIDS conference was presented to the military.
The youngest member of the team was Timothy Downey at 15 and the oldest was Juanita Smith at 79 (who had 2 great great grandchildren).
2006 Trip
Dr. Downey (III) brought a team of 6 from Lake Shore UMC in Jacksonville, joining a team of four ladies from the United Kingdom and Dr. Holland's team, to travel to Kumba in January of 2006. A pastors conference included Rev. Dr. H. Jackson Downey Jr. and Rev. Al Letson of Jacksonville, where more than forty pastors received training. Several thousand attended the crusade and nearly a thousand gave their life to Jesus. Dr. Daniel Shu again assisted along with Dr. Downey.

2007 Trip
A team of 14 came from Jacksonville organized by Gene LeClair. The group traveled to Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon, before heading out to the village of Obala . A group of four from Maryland, several from the UK, and others adding up to 22 worked in the regional medical center. There was great resistance to the work that year but the saints persevered with an all night prayer vigil and a prayer march around the crusade grounds so that many patients were seen and hundreds came to the Lord.
Dr. Thomas Virtue offered gynecological care while Dr. Downey worked with two US premed students, James Downey and Jason Skelley, while pharmacist Vicki Mack distributed medications. A medical conference for medical students occurred in Yaounde.
2008 Trip
Ernest Ehabe was again blessed by the multi-ethnic, multi-denominational, and multi-generational group of Christians which traveled to Daouala and Tombel this year. Tabitha Awara again provided excellent cooking, with Jake & Holly Schilinski along with Elias Ngome offering logistical support for the team. An agricultural outreach with Dr. Roxanne Cheek joining Elias enjoyed several hundred attendees as well as over two hundred conversions. Dr. Jon Fountain, a family practitioner from the Pensacola area joined Dr. Downey and four nurses in rendering care.
2009 Trip
Doctors Virtue and Downey will be joined by Dr. Bo Tucker, an internist, and Dr. Steve Gill, a family practitioner, and others for the January 23-31, 2009 trip.
